At Strangebird, we offer simple and clear pricing that treats everyone equally, regardless of gender. Our prices already include gratuity, so there's no need to worry about confusion or unfair treatment. We welcome all hair textures, lengths, and densities.

This duration is for new clients looking for a total transformation or have long/dense — wavy or curly hair. This ensures us suffiencient time for a thorough consultation and for me to get to know you and your hair. As well as walk you through products and styling tips. Includes: consultation, brushing ritual, deep conditioning, cut, and style.

This is for existing clients or new clients who have hair above the shoulders, really fine/low density hair, or not looking for a big change.
Includes: consultation, wash, and style.

This is a dry cut appointment for existing clients who don’t want any major changes to length/style. Focuses on weight removal and dead end dusting between full cuts or during a growout journey.
*Does not include a wash/style.

Absolutely not! Folks do tend to see me for big chops and alternative haircuts, but I LOVE doing a classic bob, lob or long layered haircut.

For our first appointment I want to see your hair in it’s natural state. Air-dried and worn down with minimal product is ideal but not mandatory unless you have curly hair.

While we are gratuity free I do accept non-monetary tips! A google-review for Strangebird Salon with my name mentioned is going to go the furthest for my small business and allow folks to find their way to my chair.
I also love being tagged in client-selfies or an iced decaf latte with regular milk lol

I choose not to rush my work, myself, or my clients. The extra time allows for quality, attention to detail, and a more intentional one-on-one experience.

Yes! I provide haircuts for all genders. However, I don’t currently offer fades or beard trims as they’re outside my area of specialization.

Please bring inspo photos that are similar to your hair type/density. Come in with a clear vision of what your goal is for our appointment. Please try to narrow the vision down to 2-3 ideas tops.

she/her
Kascidy specializes in providing unique, customized haircuts and comprehensive cutting education for individuals and groups in Austin, offering a truly one-of-a-kind experience. She works at Strangebird Salon and has expertise in using scissors, feather razor, and straight razor for hair cutting.
A third generation hairstylist from Louisiana, she moved to Austin in 2017 in search of a healthier environment to support her sobriety journey, one that ultimately led to her career in hair.
While she is widely recognized and sought after for shags, wolf-cuts, and mullets, she is equally passionate about executing timeless, classic styles.Her work both behind the chair and in the classroom, is grounded in strong fundamentals and thoughtful haircut mapping.
When she’s not at the salon, you can find her on the running trail, Barton Springs, rollerblading Onion Creek, taking an art class, playing video games or reading. She’s not big on astrology (though she’s a pisces), but she IS an ENTP and an Enneagram 7, so expect energy, curiosity, and a deep love for learning.
